Agreement version · ep-application-proposal-2026-07-16
This is the standard agreement template. Production application intake is currently paused, so this deployment will not accept or store application details. Highlighted terms below are the deal as it stands today.
Date:
1. Who’s in the deal
Producer: Nathan Fox p/k/a “Nate Fox” (“Nate”).
Artist:(“Artist”).
2. What we’re making
A 3-song EP (the “Project”).
Nate will Executive-Produce the Project and, if needed, produce individual tracks or enhance beats the Artist brings in.
3. What it costs
Artist pays Nate $1,000 (the “Production Fee”).
- • 50% on signing → $500
- • 50% on delivery of final masters → $500
4. Who owns what
| Item | Ownership | Split |
|---|---|---|
| Master recordings | Jointly owned by Nate & Artist | 50 / 50 (can adjust) |
| Songwriting / Publishing | Writers own their share | Default 50 / 50 — Nate-controlled pub vs. Artist-controlled pub (fill in if different) |
If other writers join, their splits come out of the above.
5. How it gets released
Artist must release the Project together with Nate through the distributor below:
Distributor: Revolution Distribution
Nate may switch distributors if the new deal is no worse for Artist in royalty rate, payment frequency, or reporting.
Whenever possible, royalties flow straight from the distributor to each party using the split in Section 4. If the platform can’t split, Nate will collect and pay Artist within 30 days of receipt, with a simple statement.
6. Royalties & expenses
After the Production Fee is paid, all net income (streaming, downloads, sync, vinyl, etc.) from the masters is split 50 / 50 unless we fill in a different split here: /.
“Net” means money received after third-party costs we both approve in writing (e.g., mastering, artwork, distributor fees).
7. Name, image & promo
Each party lets the other use name, likeness, photos, logos, and social handles to promote the Project.
Neither party can make edits that are intentionally harmful or misleading.
8. Term & territory
Term: This deal lasts for the life of the masters.
Territory: Worldwide.
9. Warranties
Each side promises the material they supply is original or cleared and that they’re free to sign this agreement.
If someone sues because we broke that promise, the side who caused the problem handles the claim.
10. Other stuff lawyers like (kept short)
Governing law:(fill in — e.g., California).
Independent parties: We’re partners on this Project only; neither is the other’s employee.
Entire agreement: What’s on this page (plus any written add-ons we both sign) is the whole deal. Changes must be in writing and signed by both.
Electronic signatures and scanned copies count.
